Pastor Jim was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He became a Christian in 1983.
Answering the call of God on his life he went to Zion Bible Institute in Barrington, RI., and graduated in 1989. In the fall of that same year, he married Jeannine Pelkey who also attended Zion and they began their ministry at Faith Tabernacle in Albany, NY.
Ministering there as youth leaders and school teachers until the summer of 1992. At which time with their two boys (Jonathan & James) they returned to Rochester; where they worked on staff with Faith Temple by starting an Inner-city outreach called New Beginnings.
On April 30, 1995, Pastor Jim was ordained by Rev. Mary L. Edlin, Apostles Paul & Eleanor Stern, Dr. David Minor, Dr. Donnie Meares, and Bishop Harry Jackson.
Then in April of 1998 New Beginnings incorporated as a church and became known as New Beginnings Church of Life.
In the fall of 2006, Pastor Jeannine was ordained by Rev. Mary L. Edlin, Apostles Paul & Eleanor Stern, Pastors Steven & Darla Edlin, Dr. David Minor, and Bishop Harry Jackson.
Through the years they have been blessed to have six children, (one boy who is just like family), and now a wonderful daughter in law. (L-R) James, Jason, Zak, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jessica, Julia, (and in the front) Jaden.
Today they continue to minister faithfully and are so thankful for the many people and opportunities God has given them over the years. Their passion is to not only see people get saved but to help them developing and continuing and growing relationship with God.
